Colton Van Cleave has Cape May in his blood. His family, the Hand family, was one of the original families to settle in Cape May County dating back to the 1600s. His grandfather, Tom Hand, owned the Cape May Star and Wave Newspaper, was President of the Cape May Kiwanis Club, and spent his life as a dedicated leader of the Cape May community.
Having grown up with his father being in the U.S. Coast Guard, Colton spent his childhood traveling from state to state where he got to experience numerous places in the United States. When Colton was nine years old, his father received orders back into Cape May and moved the family back to the peninsula in 2008. Colton has lived in Cape May since and doesn’t plan on leaving anytime soon.
Colton graduated from Stockton University in 2021 where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in communication and media studies. He later went on to graduate from the University of Sioux Falls where he received his MBA in Marketing and Innovation in 2023. Colton then decided to join the Homestead team to pursue a career in real estate and looks to the future with excitement and optimism.
On his free time, Colton produces media content for the Cape May Whalers baseball team. When Colton is not content creating, he enjoys going to the gym, golfing, and spending time with family and friends.
